Friends of Denver Discovery School
Friends of Denver Discovery School - FODDS - is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created in 2015 to receive and maintain funds received through various fundraising programs, such as, but not limited to sponsorships, restaurant nights and direct giving campaigns. The funds will be used to support Denver Discovery School’s mission of valuing every child’s unique talents through rigorous, purposeful and relevant project-based learning, and preparing students to meet 21st century academic, personal and civic demands.
This year FODDS will help pay for a new Engineering program called Project Lead the Way as well as the various vendors hired to support our Enrichment Program. In addition, the funds will support the needs of our robust Special Program including Foreign Language (French and Spanish), Music (Guitar, Strings One and Choir), Arts (Visual Arts and Performing Arts/Drama) and Physical Education. These programs set our school apart from most other public schools and that's why many of us choose to send our children to DDS.
